May 5th

Nice 4-2 day, I'm going to need a lot more of those to get back in the hunt.

1) Arsenal 3+ vs Any Other Result

Norwich is out of relegation danger, which means they don't have as much motivation as Arsenal, who is competing for a Champions League spot.  Normally I don't think this really holds true, but the Canaries have gotten smashed their last three games, 6-1 to City, 2-0 to Blackburn, and 3-0 to Liverpool.  Little doubt Arsenal wins this game, but despite Norwich's struggle to play well, I think they put up some resistance here.  Look for a 1 or 2 goal win by Arsenal, but I'd be surprised if it went 3.

2) Chelsea vs Liverpool
The invincible Blues got shown up against Newcastle.  Broke a huge stride of form that sent them into the Champions League final.  Liverpool was beat by Fulham at home, a game that Suarez didn't play in, possibly resting for this game.  Chelsea will be without Luiz and Cahill, but I don't see them having a huge scoring problem.  In their only match this season so far, Liverpool defeated Chelsea as the road team.  However, I like Chelsea to win this, as I have been unimpressed with Liverpool all year and I think Chelsea will recover their form here with a win.

3) 179- or 180+
Interestingly, not one game this entire series has gone over 180. In fact Game 1 saw only 158 points combined.  I'm going to take 180+ because I think that Game 3 is much more the style of game that will be played, and Game 3 had 171, the reason I'm taking the over here is that Game 3 was a blowout, so there was no chance for either team to need to extend the game with fouling etc, but I expect Game 4 to be closer, and thus I'll take 180+

4) Winner from 1-5 or any other
In the 2 spot is the favorite of the race Turallure.  The next two come from outside the 1-5, Doubles Partner and Data Link, both at 4-1.  Then is Get Stormy on the 4th pole at 6-1 and Turbo Compressor on the 8th pole at 6-1 also.  I'll take any other as that gives me 3 of the 5 horses that have a realistic shot.

5) Union Rags or Bodemeister vs the field
Horse races tend to go any other, just a few notes.  1. The favorite has only won 3 of the last 20 derbies.  2. Horses in the 15-17 posts have won 5 of the last 7 derbies.  Union Rags and Bodemeister drew gates 4 and 6 respectively.  In gate three is Take Charge Indy, at 14-1 odds, it probably doesn't have too much of a chance to win the derby, but it is being rode by Mike Smith, 3 time derby winner, he could easily give Union Rags and Bodemeister enough trouble to force them behind the pack early, thus making the field the pick.

6) NY Red Bulls vs L.A. Galaxy
Early this season the Galaxy have not fared well, sitting 7th in the West right now.  NY has done better, currently in 3rd.  Despite NY's good placing, they only have 1 road win/draw in 4 attempts.  I think L.A. gets back on pace with a win here.

7) Fight go the Distance? Yes or No?
The important note for this fight is that Shane Mosley has never been knocked out.  He's a huge underdog in this fight, but I like him to hold on for 12.

8) Mayweather KO, TKO, DQ, or any other result
Again, I like AOR.   Despite being a huge underdog Cotto is not just going to get crushed in a main event fight.  I like this fight to go the distance as well.
