1) Brazil vs Denmark or draw
Brazil is one of the biggest SFTC % favorites I've ever seen, but they aren't as big a favorite in vegas. Brazil tends to blow off friendlys. They've already lost to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Germany this year. Denmark on the other hand has done particularily well in friendlys, they've beaten both Sweeden and Finland. Even though the friendly records would indicate Denmark, I have to go Brazil simply because they won't want to be embarassed by a poor Denmark team.
2) Spain 2+ vs Serbia W/D/L1
The important thing to remember is this is a friendly so it is unlikely Spain will be at full force or will be going all out for this match. Spain drew Costa Rica in a friendly. It all really comes down to who Spain puts out there, but I'll leaning W/D/L1.
3) Loyola vs Notre Dame
Notre Dame beat me against UVA, but I'd be shocked if they won here. Loyola has only lost one game all year, to Johns Hopkins in OT. They've handled some very good teams with ease, beating Duke by 5 and Denver three times throughout the season. Notre Dame's two losses were to Penn State and St. Johns, and though they've been doing well in the tournament so far, I think that comes to an end today.
4) Maryland vs Duke
Maryland lost to Duke by 1 earlier in the year on the road, but won by 3 at home. Up until the tournament they seemed to have struggled with the big teams, losing to UNC, Virginia, Colgate, etc, but they did take out Johns Hopkins last round, in really a blow out. Duke has been strong all year only dropping that game to Maryland and one to Loyola and to Notre Dame. They've beaten Virginia, Colgate, Syracuse twice, and have easily handled the tournament so far, winning by an average of 7 goals. I'll take Duke to go to the championship game.
5) 76ers 3PM or tie vs Celtics WM
The Celtics were a very strong home team this year at 24-9, good for 3rd in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers on the other hand are a very poor road team, under .500 during the regular season. The Celtics are actually also very poor on the road at 15-18, which is part of the reason there is a game 7. In the first two games this series, the Celtics won by 1 and the Sixers won by 1. The first game Boston shot 11% from the three point line, Ray Allen was 2 of 7. Game 2 they shot better from the three point line, but had an amazing 17 turnovers. The last home game before this in the series they got to the free throw line 33 times, which helped overcome shooting 20% from three. I think Boston closes out the series by 5-7, so I'll take WM.
