1) John Huh or tie vs Aaron Baddeley
John Huh shot a completely even front nine yesterday, with no birdies or bogeys. He is sitting 19th in the moneylist. Aaron Baddeley has been poor as of late. He's missed the cut in two of the last four events, and he is in danger of doing so here. John Huh is the better option, and he has the tie.
2) Uruguay or draw vs Russia
I'm surprised Uruguay ends up with the draw here, I think they are the better national team. The last time I see Uruguay having lost, and I could be wrong cause the research for national teams is a bit confusing, was May 29, 2011 to Germany. Russia beat Denmark in their first friendly of the year, but I hardly think Uruguay compares to Denmark at all. It all comes down to lineups, so that's the important research to do in the morning. Have to lean Uruguay though, as they have been the better national side in the past.
3) Barcelona 2+ vs AOR
Thus far in the Copa del Rey, outside of their match against Real Madrid, they had won every home Copa game by 2 or more, but none of their road games. Both cities are more than 200 miles away so neither team will be sporting any kind of home field advantage. During the season, Barcelona won 2-0 at home against Bilbao and drew 2-2 at Bilbao, however this game was dominated by Barca, having 16 shots, to Bilbao's 4. I'll take Barcelona to win big in the Copa, at least by 2.
4) South Florida vs Hofstra
USF has been excellent this season posting a 48-11 record. They made it to the super regoinal with their second win of the season over an excellent Florida ball club. USF is experienced in playing powerhouse softball teams, having beaten Florida, Florida State, and Michigan already this year. They had very little troube in the regional bracket, not losing one game. Hofstra has not faired as well against the better Softball teams going 2-11 in non conference play during the season. They did blow out UCLA 7-2 in their regional on route to the Super Regional, but I think USF has a much better record against good teams. and they are at home in Tampa, Hofstra is a good softball team, but I think they'll be outmatched in this one.
5)Oregon vs Texas
Oregon had little troube getting through their regional, winning all of their games by 2 or more. Texas had a little more troube losing a game to Northwestern in the opening games, but revenging that loss with two 5-0 defeats of the Wildcats to advance. The Ducks have been a very streaky team, they lost to both New Mexico and BYU early in the season, but have also knocked off some very good teams, Arizona St, Washington, even stealing a game in a series against #1 California. Texas comes from a very strong softball conference, (7 of 12 teams in the tournament, as well as 5 of the 16 top seeds), so despite their 46-11 record (still better than Oregon's 42-15) 8 of the 11 losses were in conference games. I'll take Texas to get the win here.
