August 4th

1. Serena 2-0 vs AOR
In the semis, Serena crushed Azarenka 6-2, 6-1, day before that? 6-3, 6-0 vs Wozniacki.  These are really good tennis players and Serena's crushing them like they're newbies to the ATP.  Even though its Sharapova, I have to take Serena 2-0 because it doesn't seem to matter who Serena plays right now.

2. Brazil 2+ vs AOR
Honduras was able to upset a reeling Spanish side to advance out of group play, but I think they come back to earth here.  Brazil has looked very good in the tournament, as opposed to Spain who couldn't get it together.  They've won two of their three matches by 2 or more goals, and the only one they didn't (vs Egypt) they were up 3-0 at one point.  Honduras drew Morocco and Japan and beat Spain.  I think Brazil's at the top of their game and win this one easy.

3. Time of gold medalist women's 50m free, 23.99 or faster vs 24.00 or slower
The world record has been at 23.73 since 2009, which was set by Britta Steffen.  Britta was 4th in qualifying at 24.57.  The fastest time in the semis was, say it with me, Kromowidjojo at 24.07.  She swam it in 24.51 in the heats, so she definitely turned it up a notch in the semis.  I think she turns it up one gear higher and beats 24 seconds.

4. 4x100 medley relay. US finishes 1st and Australia finishes 2nd vs AOR
This one shouldn't even be close, 1st and 2nd easy.

5. Jamaica vs AOC
There are two Jamaican runners that have a chance at gold, Fraser-Pryce and Campbell-Brown.  In my opinion, there's little chance Campbell Brown wins, and I think it comes down to a race between Fraser-Pryce and Jeter (USA).  (Not Derek Jeter).  I think Jeter struggles a little because this will be her first Olympics (she didn't qualify in 2008) whereas Fraser-Pryce has the experience as she won gold in 2008.  The biggest concern is that Jeter does have a faster best time than Pryce (10.64 vs 10.70), but I'll still roll with Jamaica.
