July 1st

And so July begins! I hope to get hot this month and make a run at the Streak monthly crown.

1. Phillipe Gilbert or Peter Sagan vs AOR
Phillipe Gilbert was the winner of Stage 1 in the last Tour, although it is not the same path as last year.Peter Sagan seems to be the heavy favorite to win the stage this time around. Sagan is one of the up and coming racers.  Only 22, but he is expected to make a large splash in the Tour this year.  Gilbert was 3rd in the points classification, behind 1st place finisher and SFTC favorite Mark Cavendish.  Cavendish will be running in the Tour this year.  A main challenger for the stage will be Edvald Hagan as well.  I think Sagan does well and wins the stage, and Gilbert is a good backup option.

2. First goal of the first half? 29th or earlier vs 30th or later?
Thankfully this will be the last set of Euro 2012 props as these props gave me fits last month.  Spain has only given up 1 goal the entire tournament.  That was in the first match against Italy, both goals were scored in the second half.  Spain has scored "early" in 2 of 5 matches.  Italy has conceded 3 goals in the tournament, and has scored, or had scored upon "early" in only 1 of their 5, however, they have scored in min 30-39 3 times in the tournament.  I'll take the later goal or no goal, because I think this is going to a game dominated by defense and possession and both teams will wait to make their move until the second half.

3. Spain goal in the second half?
Spain will have to score at some point, they don't want to go to penalties because they have to feel they are the better team.  A lot of this will depend on the halftime score, if Spain is up 1-0, I might take no, but otherwise going yes.

4. Kershaw K's thru 3? 3+ or 2-?
Kershaw has 103 K's in 108 IP.  In his last 10 games, the over has won 6 of 10.  The Mets are 11th in the league in K's with 611 in about 711 innings.  Kershaw is currently 11th in the league in K's.  I'll take 3+ because I think Kershaw is a good strikeout pitcher, and the Mets don't do particularily well avoiding K's.

5. Hits in the 5th and 6th, 5+ or 4-?
Have to feel like this one is going under.  This looks to be a very low scoring game with Kershaw, (WHIP 1.04), and Gee (WHIP 1.29) being the pitchers and neither really allowing many runners to board.

6. Both teams hit in the 8th?
Probably going no here, but it depends on how the game goes.
